For those of us who enjoy singing and dancing (even Mike really enjoys both, although he's not good at either), Saturday's dress rehearsal and Sunday's concert were most enjoyable -- for the stage was filled for 2 hours plus with folks who were very talented at both, and each loved being there.
Megan is a first year student in Makumira's music program -- her classes number into the teens ! When Mike asked who she had as an advisor, her Father answered that she needed none, as all classes are mandatory. Easy to see each and all the students were getting their shillings worth in the music department.
Marissa announced "I'm 18 !" , which made us (and perhaps a few of you ?) realize you must be a bit older now than when she used to share hugs at First every Sunday.
Nathan has really added height -- even saw him bumping shoulders with some macho Maasai dancers during one of the traditional dances.
Megan had the opportunity to share her voice and steps when performing with a small combo.
3 of the professors were very much in rhythm, although Carol was at the other end of the stage.
Marissa & Juianna (right) joined those dancing in the grass as the combo played/sang again as the rehearsal ended.
